Hi Michael, I love your energy and your message. You even had me standing up. Can’t believe I am getting this message daily, delivered into my inbox. Looking forward to tomorrow’s.
Excellent reminder. I love your energy… As a customer service expert, this is a technique I use all the time and I highly recommend it. It changes your energy and your voice. It also allows you to focus more on the task at hand and be more in the moment, which of course it always the goal. Thanks for the great reminder. As always, I love your stuff- it always inspires.
Great vid Michael, just what the doctor ordered on a miserable Monday morning, grey -wet and windy down here in Suffolk - probably just like Wales and Scotland! But hey, at least I’m feeling good, now I’m ready to attack the day!
Good energy. I often stand up while working on the computer. But, how can you pick on the wine guy?! I seem to recall you sitting in a big cushy chair with a cup of tea.
Great, yes you made me stand up. But now I take a break and allow myself to sit down while writing this message.
Yea, I am read to go, jump up from the comfortable chair. Wait, the chair is a dangerous trap. It feels comfortable and hold one back in a comfortable zone. Thats one of the biggest dream destroyer. I think I have to put some drowing-pin on the seat… AAAjjj..
I don’t mean to be contrarian, but your pitch reminded me of something my mother used to say: “If you stand up when you eat, you’ll get an ulcer”. Of course this didn’t make much sense to me at the time, but later as I reflected on it I realized that the saying meant that standing up while doing things implies impatience, agitation and lack of focus on the thing at hand (eating in this case), and that the ulcer thing therefore makes perfect sense.
Isn’t there something to be said for a calm presentation which doesn’t require shouting your message at people? Or does piercing through the volume of crap that passes for internet marketing preclude such an approach?
I met you at the i2i seminar in Daytona, and you are 100% right on the money…I don’t think you were ever standing still! One of the things I talk about most is taking action! How can you possibly take action sitting down?!
Keep up the GREAT work and I am looking forward to more!
A few years ago I experienced a massive audiance ‘Standing Up’, cheering and applauding. Some of them even yelling their lungs out!! It felt heart warming and it was very impressive to see all those people in the stadium cheering for me this way. I was very thankfull for this great experience. (I wonder if Mick Jagger that came on stage behind me had anything to do with this sudden cheer?)
What this ‘Standing Up’ is concerned, it’s also funny that at that time I wondered about the fact that the tickets with ‘less comfort’ (having to stand up)where more expensive than the tickets where you could sit. (lucky for me at that time I worked at a big record company so that I got those - most expensive - Tickets for Free! So now I know for sure that it is because you can get closer to the artist, yes it does make sense,
O.K. anyway..,
When I am on the telephone - while working - (not for example when I am calling Jade Jagger for a date) I also frequently call standing up, sitting on my desk or leaning on my desk or otherwise walk arround. I am for ‘Happy & Free’ when I am on the phone.
Also I do think it’s better for the blood circulation.
Just like u said before, it is the simple thing in our life…BUT most people doesnt realize about the potential of it and ignore to practice the ’simple’ concept to get momentum in our life:)
Well done..n thanx for bringing up in your video…

I like your videos. Very simplistic. Actually when I decided that I will participate in Rich Schefren’s 66 seconds Video Contest, I was thinking about your videos. They work without fancy stuff around it.
I wish I knew the “stand-up” video earlier. I mean, you are absolutely right. It works.
Whenever I am in a dead end, I get up, walk around in the house, get moving, … It gives you energy and definitely moves you out of any dead end.
Love your stuff.
John
P.S. I have linked to my Schefren Video. Just in case everybody is interested.

Also standing up is better for your back, since you are less likely to slouch and the lordosis is restored.

Hi Michael,
Well, you’ve managed to keep it up so I guess it wasn’t a one-off. How long do you plan to keep this going? A week, a month, for ever?
Thanks for today’s fix!
