  3. Don’t become too reliant in business on once source for most of your turnover as if it changes you’re screwed. :)

  4. Clever. Was that mistake on purpose? If not, you should know the Focus episode is playing instead of the Mistakes episode, as of this comment.

  6. Hi M,

I suppose there was a need of
this focus video, to be seen 2
times, as focus is such a hard
    task?

    Looking forward the Mistake video!

  7. I too was tuning in to mistakes but got focus instead, but you know what? I needed this like a kick up the proverbial. I’ve just ‘idled’ away a hour and a half. I’ll just make focus my word for the rest of the day. Thanks.

  8. I created a business name that was hard for people to spell say and remember and also used it as my URL. Raombyert Distributor then raombyert.com It all made sense to me Robert plus Amy, every other letter mixed together. I should have focused on the name reflecting my products and being easy to remember and spell. I thought my wife would be helping me and be excited about every sale. I was wrong it mostly annoys her when i say burn me another CD and we have to stop by the post office. I don’t have a lot of sales and loose money on my venture part of the time, that’s what makes her annoyed. My focus is on getting another software finished, published and to keep improving each day. I work a regular job and do my business on the side, so i don’t get as much done developing my products as i would like too.
An hour or two a day does add up and 10 or 20 hours on some week ends really does make progress.
I also bought wholesale, marked up then sold other people’s software and products. This was hard if a customer had a problem, i could offer a refund but couldn’t do much about errors in the software itself. Then my vendor quit publishing my best selling software, i had no control over that and still had an order to fill, i filled it but it was much harder and i didn’t make any profit. Don’t focus on the money, focus on if you believe in the product and think that it is great. If it is great you can sell it. Find the great product/s that you believe in and enjoy using or create one.
I did the affiliate thing and it is OK as long as your affiliate treats their customers well. If they happen to be less than good at keeping their end of the bargains you get the bad feeling from the customers too. Check them out on http://welcome.bbb.org/ if they are listed first then go ahead if you want, but remember you will be held accountable for their actions in the eyes of the customer. The other bad thing is knowing weather or not you have generated a sale for the affiliate and weather you have any revenue do you.
Focus on the customer before and after the sale and how they will feel. Will they feel that they have made a great buy, hopefully. Will they feel that they just barley got their money’s worth or worse that they have bought junk and are annoyed at you and want their money back. Pretend you are the one buying the product and try and imagine your feelings about it. If you imagine a not so good feeling, find a better product.

  9. I’m wandering - did you put the wrong video to demonstrate a point about mistakes?

By Rotem on Jan 9, 2008

  10. Mikey,

Wrong video Mistake Club was in the subject line of the email.

IO hate to rain on your parade, but the laws of attraction momemtom etc sre nigger psycology. That does not change the fact you are a super individual for trying to somehow help people.

I just finised by five mile walk this morning. Not bad for a legally blind guy I guess.

  11. If you want to see the “Mistakes” video, simply click the “Episodes” tab at the top of the page, and “Mistakes” is the first Episode listed. And you can catch any other video you may have missed or just want to hear again.

  13. Guys! I can’t believe this - it must have been subliminal and there was never supposed to be a mistake with the videos! I’ve now changed it!

Just goes to show how powerful self suggestion can be!

    Haha! :-)

  14. Hi Michael,

From CMTV to GmTv I agree with you. But why do you choose to start the first (frozen) frame with your eyes closed or the goofy look on your face? (LOL)

Keep up the great work! I love your tips!

  15. GUSTO….
I like that about you. But that’s not why you’re listed on my site!
It’s because you go the extra mile…& over-deliver.

There’s a lot to say about believing in oneself.

I say- Never give up and keep learning! :)

  16. I agree with John Brace about putting all your eggs in one basket. I was horror stricken when one and at the time, my only source of income went belly-up. Starting over is no fun. Today, I rely on multiple streams of income.

  20. Michael,

and been on several telesiminars I am now brain dead. I need to get my site going and stop reading and worrying about everything.

  22. It seems to be about EXPECTATION.
Something that doesn’t fit in that one
had expected to come, make one react.

Well, my biggest mistake was when I
stayed in a lovely state of Peace during
    a long time.
Peace is just energy/feeling, and feeling
    and energy are the same.
Anyway, peace energy holds the pattern
of to BE and not to DO.
So there was a long time of to BE in
    peace without doing.

To go further, one has to let go of
peace (BE energy) to reach next
    level that is; FREEDOM and
    imperturbability and the energy
    of to DO. :-)
