Hi Michael,
I quite agree, there’s nothing like some good deep breaths of fresh air to get you going.
I do envy those that live in the country though. For those of us that live in a polluted city, I am not so sure that breathing in all that carbon monoxide and other toxins is better than the stale air indoors!
Best regards,
Nick

Hey Michael,
You are a real pleasure to watch!
Your energy, your message, and your delivery (including your humor) are all tops.
You’re a natural when it comes to this. Watch out Tony Robbins (and I say that seriously). His success stems from his ability to present his message energetically and convincingly. You have this mastered as well.
You are going to have success with this, and it’s going to be fun to watch it happen.
Best,
Derek

Hi Michael.
You’ve known me for about 18 months and you know my background as conductor and trumpet professor.
Breathing properly as a wind musician is the single most important contributor to ultimate success. But, while I breathe properly while performing and exercising, when sitting at the computer it still takes a conscious effort to not breathe lazily.
A great illustration I use with my students as they learn this essential technique is to watch a baby. As adults we have learned to get in the way of a lot of the things that are otherwise natural, mostly because we are constantly thinking and evaluating, planning, worrying, etc. Tension and stress result and then this becomes our norm.
A baby, on the other hand, hasn’t learned the bad habits and breathes fully and relaxedly. The only time most adults follow suit is when we sleep, for it is at that time that we let the tensions out and the body returns to its natural state.
I’m glad you spent an episode discussing this vital activity. Consciously taking the time to revitalize ourselves with full breaths of clean, fresh, and invigorating air helps to re-establish in ourselves what we used to do naturally.
And doing so is akin to injecting high-octane fuel into the powerful engine of a sports car.
Continued best wishes,
Todd

Great Post,
Especially breathing ‘from the Tummy’.
(in my case, impressive ‘Six Pack’ Tummy, ahum…, that is to say, I am a little proud to be developing - to a certain degree - actual tiny Six Pack ‘Islands’ of mussle in that area :))
Some time ago I had a post on my blog titled: ‘Ridiculous Engergy Levels’ that does cover a slightly different angle (looking at the sleep system and the body temperature for example) Nevertheless also about way’s to improve the Engergy Level. You can find it at:

Breathing definately is also a very important component that is worth attention.
All the Best,
HP
